18-2

Once again Carolina struggled with defending the point guard of the opposing team and that created problems for the Heels tonight.
Carolina prevailed in the game with a 3 pointer made by Ty Lawson has the game clocked expired. The final score was 80-77 in favor of Carolina. The bax scores do not look good for the Heels but win is still a win.
Box Scores

The next opponent will NC State on Raleigh, NC at 3:30pm.

It is hard to believe that there are only ten games left in the season. Currently the Heels are on A four game winning streak. Last year that went on twelve game winning streak to win the ACC conference and eventually win the ACC Tournament. With that all said, we to just look at the Saturday game. The season will take care of itself...one game at a time.

17-2

The Heels took Clemson down again for the 54 consecutive game in Chapel Hill. The final score was 94-70. Wayne Ellington led the scoring with 25 points and Hansbrough had a double double with 20 points and 10 rebounds...plus a loose tooth.

Carolina is off until next Wednesday night when they play at Florida State. The game will start at 9:00pm.

beard

I grew a beard over the Christmas holidays. I have not had a beard in 8 or 9 years. When Carolina lost to Wake Forest so did the beard. It was actually scratchy and I was doing the hand to face thing way to much. Now that I have a clean face we are winning again.

16-2

Well I have fell behind in my updates.....
The Heels are now 16-2 with wins over Virginia and Miami. The next game is Wednesday against Clemson who lost to Wake on Saturday. Clemson has never won in the Dean Dome...that's right....53 straight losses on Chapel Hill. This event will be a close one. Wayne and Lawson will have to be on consistent and Deon needs to improve tremendously. The game time is 9:00pm. Go Heels!!!

I came across this article earlier this evening. The topic is the ACC personnel in the Super Bowl. Take a look.....
http://blogs.newsobserver.com/accnow/state-duke-unc-part-of-the-super-bowl

No. 1 UNC Falls To Boston College

No. 1 Men's Basketball Falls To Boston College
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -Tyrese Rice and Boston College put an end to all that talk of whether No. 1 North Carolina could go unbeaten.

Rice scored 25 points in his second straight big game against the Tar Heels to help the Eagles stun North Carolina 85-78 on Sunday, likely ending its run atop the early season polls.

Rakim Sanders added 22 points for the Eagles (13-2, 1-0), who led by six points at halftime and pushed the lead to as many as 15 before holding off a frantic rally from the Tar Heels (13-1, 0-1) in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams.

bitters

I was not bitter over the loss. I never believed that we could go all the way.
this is the way it went in 2007-2008...
Our first loss in 2007-2008 was only 15 days later then this one.
2007-2008 was a great year
2009 will be better
