We are approaching the new year this eve and with the end of one starts the beginning of another. The middle of this year was exciting for me. My first garden was flourishing with fruits and vegetables. I had completely recovered from my spinal surgery. My new romance, the love that had found was like the garden...flourishing. Many roads were traveled and cities were explored along with the greetings of new friends and families. Past were drawn to a close has I moved forward in this wonderful life. I sit here now happy and content. Satisfied with what life has given me but knowing that grace will still fall upon me.
Carolina plays Nevada tonight at 10:00 EST.
The Tar Heels are 12-0.
Hope you all are doing well!

The day is so unpredictable; Warm air, winter nights , frigid cold, spring like afternoons. It keeps my mind busy with thoughts of what I need to do. I like to layout my clothes the night before the day to be prepare for the morning. Recently getting dressed for the day has been difficult. I end up being to hot or to cold which leads me to being uncomfortable. I was wondering today how the animals are reacting to the weather....I bet it seems that though seven seasons have past in the last month or so. When I lived in Florida I just had to deal with hot or hotter...those were the days..sort of
I added a bed liner and rail covers on the truck today. I think that I like it but time will only tell and it is a done deal. At least it is practical in the sense of saving the truck bed.
Basketball is rolling again with Carolina playing Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
It will be a special night in Chapel Hill. Tyler Hansbrough will only need to score nine points to be the all time leading scorer for the Tar Heels. It is a record that has been aging for thirty years set by Phil Ford.
Hope you all are well

9-0
from the website
Tyler Hansbrough had 26 points and nine rebounds to help top-ranked North Carolina beat Oral Roberts 100-84 on Saturday.
Deon Thompson added 22 points for the Tar Heels (9-0), who had no trouble in their first game following a 10-day exam break. North Carolina shot 59 percent to take a 20-point halftime lead and was never seriously threatened from there in yet another lopsided victory to start the season.
Robert Jarvis scored 26 points for the Golden Eagles (2-7), who were playing a No. 1-ranked team for the first time.
Hansbrough was playing his first game at the Smith Center this season. He sat out the first two against Pennsylvania and Kentucky as he recovered from a preseason shin injury, then missed the North Carolina-Asheville game as he recovered from a bruised ankle before the Michigan State game.
He looked right at home, hitting his first five shots on the way to 15 first-half points. He is nine points from breaking the school's career scoring record owned by Phil Ford--which has stood for three decades--and could break it Thursday night when North Carolina hosts Evansville.
He wasn't alone in tormenting the Golden Eagles. Thompson finished 10-for-12 from the field, burying both soft turnaround jumpers and tough stickbacks inside to give the Tar Heels an unstoppable frontline. Meanwhile, Ty Lawson continued his strong play with 18 points, seven assists and two turnovers.
Hansbrough had a stretch of seven straight points to push the Tar Heels up 27-14 midway through the first half, a lead North Carolina would not let slip below double digits. Still, while they cracked the 100-point mark for the fourth time this season, the Tar Heels didn't put together the kind of crowd-pleasing stretch to put the game away.
In fact, Oral Roberts hovered as close as 73-59 on a 3-pointer by Kyron Stokes with 10:41 to play and outscored North Carolina in the second half. But the Tar Heels kept attacking the basket in their fast-paced offense to stay out in front while Hansbrough inched closer to Ford's record.
He ended Saturday's pursuit with a three-point play followed by two free throws before leaving the game to cheers with 4:24 left and North Carolina ahead 92-71.
North Carolina senior Danny Green, who had 12 points, left the game with a cut over his right eye after a collision with about 6 minutes left.

doubledouble
I had to work a double yesterday. It was quite a long day. I am at work now. I came in late and will probably leave early. I have been thinking lately about how life is so simple but yet complexed at times. I have realized that it is mostly my perspective on situations. I will stop here. My conjuring is complete and I must go back to work.

SEC
I am in Atlanta this weekend. Right now we are watching the SEC championship game with alabama and florida. I am enjoying one of my favorite cigars and Jetty is enjoying a beverage. We went to Five Points and I got a used cd. We had dinner at the Red Orchid down the road from here. We also went to Summit Racing so I could look for some parts for my truck. Life is good and so am I. Hope everyone is having a grand time in your lives!

8-0
Last nights game was the first this year where I felt has if the team was sync with each other.
Here is the AP version:
DETROIT (AP) -- Top-ranked North Carolina was impressive in what it hopes will be the first of three games at Ford Field.
Tyler Hansbrough scored the first basket of both halves and finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds, leading the Tar Heels to a 98-63 rout of Michigan State (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 13 AP) on Wednesday night.
The Tar Heels (8-0) took control with an 11-3 run late in the first half, led by 14 at halftime, then built a 30-plus cushion at the home of the Detroit Lions and the 2009 Final Four.
Barring injuries or an upset, the first unanimous preseason No. 1 team in The Associated Press poll seems destined for a return trip to the Motor City.
The Spartans (4-2) started the season ranked sixth, but lost a lot of luster with an 18-point loss to Maryland last week.
They scored in the final seconds, narrowly avoiding the most-lopsided defeat of Tom Izzo's career. Iowa beat Michigan State by 36 in 1996 during Izzo's first season.
Michigan State's Raymar Morgan and Chris Allen looked like they belonged on the same court with the Tar Heels, scoring 17 and 13 points respectively, but the rest of their teammates appeared overmatched.
The Tar Heels were simply too talented, quick, strong and deep.
They didn't play any of their starters 30 minutes, showing mercy in a game that could've been more of a rout.
Wayne Ellington scored 13 of his 15 points in the first half, when the game was still contested, and Ty Lawson had 13 points and six assists.
The NFL venue was configured for about 70,000 seats and perhaps one-third of them were filled with fans, creating a scene that was as lackluster as the game.
Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars and one of his key players, former Tar Heel Rasheed Wallace, were among the faces in the crowd.
Hansbrough played for just the fourth time in eight games, but the national player of the year looked sharp in 27 minutes. The 6-foot-9 forward missed the Tar Heels' first two games with a stress reaction in his right shin, didn't play against Chaminade in the Maui Invitation and sat out Sunday's game against UNC-Asheville for precautionary reasons.
Those are the only games the senior has missed in his career.
Michigan State was without its top frontcourt player, Goran Suton, and will miss him for at least two more weeks because he's scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on his sprained left knee Thursday.

Michigan State
Carolina will be playing Michigan State tonight (less then a hour). The game is set to be played in Detroit, Mich which is were the Final Four will be played this basketball season.
Here is some info from the Carolina website....
No. 1/1 North Carolina (7-0) will travel to Ford Field in Detroit to take on No. 13/12 Michigan State (4-1) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Carolina is coming off of a 116-48 victory over UNC-Asheville and won the Maui Invitational, beating the three teams by an average of 29.7 points to set the record for the highest margin of victory in the history of the event. Michigan State lost in the opening round of the Old Spice Classic to Maryland but won its next two games, the most recent over Wichita State by a 65-57 score on Sunday. Carolina leads the all-time series between the two teams with a 7-3 record. This will be the third meeting between the two teams in the last five seasons; the two previous games were in the NCAA Tournament play. Carolina is 4-0 against the Spartans in the NCAA Tournament, beating the Spartans twice in the Final Four (1957 and 2005), once in the Sweet 16 (1998) and once in the second round (2007).
Carolina is 4-5 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and 4-1 in the Roy Williams era. The lone loss was a 68-64 loss at home to Illinois at the beginning of the 2005-06 season. Prior to Roy Williams' arrival, Carolina lost all four games by an average margin of 15 points. Since his arrival, Carolina has averaged a scoring margin of +6.0 points. Carolina has faced Ohio State twice in the last two seasons, defeating the Buckeyes in Chapel Hill 98-89 in the fall of 2006 and winning in Columbus last year, 66-55. Carolina has not faced Michigan State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge since the 2000-01 season when it lost 77-64 on the road. It was Matt Doherty's first loss as a head coach. Carolina faced the Spartans one other team in the event, in its inaugural year in the 1999-00 season when the Spartans beat the Tar Heels 86-76 at the Smith Center. Michigan State is 5-3 in the event, best in the Big Ten.
Last Time: Carolina beat Michigan State 81-67 in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament in Winston-Salem. The victory marked Tyler Hansbrough's rather infamous shedding of his protective face mask. He wore it after having his nose broken against Duke and for the next four games, he struggled. But he took it off at the 12:33 mark and went on to score 19 to end the first half. He had 29 of his 33 points after the mask removal. He had nine rebounds to go along with the 33 points. Michigan State rallied to take a 57-54 lead with 8:48 to go. Carolina responded with a 14-4 run to take a seven-point lead with 4:03 to go. Michigan State would get as close as five points with 2:45 to go but Carolina closed the game with an 11-2 run and held the Spartans without a point in the final 1:28 and without a field goal in the final 2:45. Carolina out-rebounded the Spartans 40-29 and shot 48.1% compared to 37.3% by the Spartans.
