I spent money today. The purchase was in a grocery store for food items that I needed. I do not want the burden of helping the economy placed on me.
I will admit the urge was there to engage myself into the equation but just has I have told myself for the past year; the TV that I bought five years ago is still working just fine. So what that it is an old 27" regular tube television. A few weeks ago I thought I saw a rainbow or extra shadowing on the set but after a day or so it went away....just like my dream for a big panel TV to view Carolina basketball did.

The Tar Heels came out running last night with the Fighting Irish and quickly Notre Dame saw why the Carolina is ranked #1 in the country. With a deep bench that we have, it is really hard to distinguish the starting lineup and bench.

He was 13-of-19 from the field, including one three pointer, 7 of 7 from the free throw line, five rebounds and blocked two shots. He finished with total points being 34 !

Ty Lawson was voted MVP for the tournament and had a outstanding game has well. He finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Carolina beat the Oregon Ducks last night in the semi-finals of the Maui Invitational. The score was 98-69.

North Carolina (5-0) will play No. 8 Notre Dame on Wednesday night in the championship game. The Fighting Irish beat No. 6 Texas 81-80 in the semifinals in the season's first match up of Top Ten teams.

Carolina men's basketball team will be playing tonight in Maui, HA. I am
listening to the pre-game and Roy just stated the Hansbrough will not
be playing tonight. Apparently he hurt is other ankle this weekend.
Not the bad shin leg. Roy said he might not play at all on the trip.
I guess we will have to wait and see

Since I was a young lad I have been a Dallas Cowboy fan. Even though the Carolina's acquired a NFL called the Carolina Panthers, I have remained true to the Cowboy's. I say all of this because my girlfriend is a huge Falcons fan and it was easy for me to start pulling for them this year because Cowboy's and Falcons are in different divisions. Also the Falcons picked Matt Ryan(he was the QB for Boston College for four years)and I liked his has a player. I told her after the pick that he was a great QB and he would do the Falcons good. Today they beat the Panthers and the Cowboys won also! It was good day though I did not get to watch much of the games. My neighbor and I spent about 4.5 hours getting my leaves. Hope you all are well!

Carolina beat Santa Barbra last night 84 - 67.
Looking at the box scores, the turnovers and free throws is where the Heels got the win. Hansbrough made his first season appearance after recovering from an injury and his presences was greatly needed.

The Tar Heels headed to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational, where they'll play Chaminade on Monday night. Game time is 10:00 pm EST

"Injury Report: Tyler Zeller broke his wrist against Kentucky. He had
surgery and will likely miss the rest of the season. Tyler Hansbrough
has been held out of practice with a stress reaction and is
questionable. Marcus Ginyard will be out until mid-December after
undergoing surgery on October 8th to repair a stress fracture in his
left foot. Michael Copeland tore his ACL in a pickup game in May and
had surgery in June. He will be out until sometime midseason."

Just like last year Carolina will have to overcome the short bench due
to injuries and prevail with a younger less experience bench.
Tonights game will be on ESPNU starting at 10:00 pm EST.

I had a great time last night at the Carolina basketball game. Tar Heels beat Kentucky but it came with a cost.
The freshman Tyler Zeller broke his wrist and most likely is out the rest of the season. Hopefully he can get red shirted and add another season to his collegiate career.

Carolina beat Penn last Saturday to start the season off. I was in Atlanta this past weekend but was able to see both the football and basketball games.

Tonight I will be in Chapel Hill for the UNC vs. Kentucky basketball game. I will take some pictures and post one or two. Look for me I will be sitting in front of the band!

I watched the Duke game last night. Looks like D00k still has some fine tuning to do. At one point they looked has though they were tired which is not a good look so early in the season.

Carolina will be playing against Maryland in football and Penn in basketball on Saturday 11/15/08

Well the time is upon us here in the ACC conference. Football has three games left in the season before the bowl games are here. Carolina has a great year...7-2 and a our first winning season in 7 years. Hopefully we can come out of this cloak of being only a basketball school. We have some rocky times in previous the football seasons. The 80's and 90's were good at times but we need to be consistent.

Roy Williams is back in his 5th year has head coach of the Tar Heels basketball team. If we can stay injury free we should have a good run.

Again sorry for the delays....once it is cold steadily, I should be inside. I can't stand the stuff.

Work was a little crazy this morning. Sometimes we will spray a little aromatherapy to get focused. Well today we took it another step and found some meditation music on YouTube. Here is one of my favorites. The visual is great also.
