dirt
The dirt is wet now. After rain last night and drizzle today, the dirt in the garden is saturated. This morning I went down with to survey and and the plants were standing tall. I guess they were thirsty and delighted to see the rain.
One subject I have not spoken about here about here is basketball. Tonight the Carolina Tar Heels play Louisville Cardinals in East Regional Final game. Go Heels!

frosty
Well one of the basil plants fell victim to Jack Frost. That sounded like a Ronald Reagen opener. I think he almost always made statements like "Well the KGB is one of the top three groups for the part in "Westside Story"

Water
Well we had a couple of thunderstorms roll in last night with rain. I have yet to get seeds or plants in the ground. I am waiting until tomorrow when my Dad and Alvin are going to come over for an assessment of the garden.

Supplies
I went to Southern States today to buy some vegetable and flower seeds. I also picked up some tools of mass farming! I will provide the plot once I have figured out what I am doing...that sounds so funny.

New Part of Me
Today I venture into a new aspect of country living. I moved away from the city in August of 2007.
I am living in a farming community now with all of the sight and smells of the country. Today the Farmer plowed part of my 2 acres for my garden. The size is 50 x 102ft.
The only gardening experience that I had was a patio garden with herbs and one green pepper plant. Does the size of my garden make me a farmer now? If so then woohoo!!!
